Smart Answers to Interview Questions

You are nervous whenever you go to an interview for a job? Don't be too much stressful on yourself! You will surely be able to answer well if you know which answers the employer expects to hear.
Below are some common interview questions used by many international firms in recruitment, and some tips to answer them:

1. "Why did you leave your previous job/your current job?"

However you hate your current job, don't make any negative comment on your old colleagues or your old company. Don't be afraid. To answer this, you may state that you are among those who were made redundant by the company. Nowadays, the reduction of staff in companies is frequent. Focus on why you are suitable to this position, and how this position fits your ability.

2. "Which position do you expect to get to in the next 5 years?"

Avoid answering this question with a long and detail "presentation" that you have learnt by heart at home. Instead, be sincere with your goals as set forth or your path to a successful career.

3. "What do you think about our company?"

Your may have the answer to this question readily prepared at home. Find out about the history of the Company on its website or talk with the current employees working at the Company. Tell about the strength of the Company and even what you predict about the growth of the company in the future.

4. "Why do you think we should hire you?"

You had better not answer that "Because I am the most suitable person for this position" as it is such a too general answer. Instead, it can be easier and more fluent for you to "describe" your relevant skills and experience that suit the job requirements. It will be better if you may state some of your previous experience.

5. "What is your strength?"

This is not time to be modest but time for you to evaluate your skills that are suitable to the vacancy. For example, if the job requires leading a group, talk about your previous leadership experience.
